Membership

The value and benefits of being a Member of GAPPS are:

a.   Use of the GAPPS Member logo in line with the usage guidelines
b.   Ability to have representatives attend Working Sessions at Membership rate
c.   Ability to contribute to development, creation and maintenance of standards through attending Working Sessions
d.   Ability to contribute to administration of GAPPS through boards/chairs/committees
e.   Opportunity to host Working Sessions
f.   Link to Member organisation on GAPPS website
g.   Knowledge sharing with other Members

A Member of GAPPS must be an organisation and cannot be an individual. 

Where a member is an Association or Organisation any nominated staff member or volunteer of that organisation may be considered as a representative of that organisation. 

The formal conditions for the approval of membership are:

a.   Members must commit to recognising assessment findings against GAPPS framework made by GAPPS endorsed organisations in line with the Constitution and Membership guidelines
b.   Members must abide by the GAPPS Code of Conduct as set out in the By-Laws of the GAPPS constitution

The approval of the Board is necessary to admit a Member. 

An organisation’s admission as Member will only become valid on payment of the first year’s membership fee, and will lapse if that is not paid within three months of the Board meeting at which membership was approved.  Note that Member Organisations were previously referred to as Subscribing Organisations.
