The GAPPS Quality Assurance (QA) model for Endorsement and Recognition has been developed to support quality implementation of the GAPPS Framework.

Implementation of the GAPPS Framework will be primarily through the establishment of mutual recognition arrangements between GAPPS and other appropriate standards bodies, relevant government organisations and professional associations. Implementation may also involve direct usage of the GAPPS performance standards by assessment providers who recognise the value of the standards and want to use or incorporate them as part of their suite of existing assessments.

The QA Model is designed to ensure the integrity of any mutual recognition or assessment against the GAPPS performance based competency standards. It is also designed to provide a level of confidence that an organisation awarding recognition and providing certification against the GAPPS Framework is doing so in a manner that has been approved by the GAPPS.

The QA model addresses the diversity of potential users and providers of GAPPS and the varying quality assurance systems they operate within around the world. It sets out 4 categories of recognition by GAPPS that reflect these differing systems. These are:

Category 1 Endorsement:

covers recognition of government bodies/organisations responsible for quality assurance of training and assessment services in project management

Category 2 Endorsement:

covers recognition of non-government bodies/organisations responsible for quality assurance of training and assessment services in project management

Category 3 Endorsement:

covers recognition of individual organisations that are providers of training and assessment services in project management

Category 4 Registration:

covers the recognition of individual training and assessment providers to use the GAPPS logo where operating within an endorsed QA system (either category 1 or 2).

Within this document, the term endorsement refers to GAPPS recognition of an organisation’s quality management system governing training and/or assessment services and their capacity to quality assure use of the GAPPS Framework.

The term registration refers to GAPPS recognition of an individual organisation and their right to use the GAPPS Endorsed Provider Logo on any assessment material and certificates. The logo must be used in combination with an organisation’s own logo and that of any other body or organisation they have authorisation to use. The organisation is not able to issue certificates branded with the GAPPS Endorsed Provider logo in isolation or market certificates in any way that may be construed as a “GAPPS issued certificate” or a GAPPS qualification. Use of the GAPPS Endorsed Provider Logo must conform to the GAPPS Logo Usage Guidelines.

Endorsed and/or registered providers of GAPPS are entitled to:

• the use of the GAPPS Endorsed Provider logo in line with the usage guidelines
• have a link provided to their organisation on the GAPPS website
• opportunity for knowledge sharing and further development of GAPPS with other members.
