At the commencement of each Working Session the following statement is reiterated to all members to remind them of the purpose and spirit of the initiative

1. It is the intent of the GAPPS to create a document (s) for which the copyright will be held by the GAPPS in order to make them available for the public to use at no cost.
2. Attendees and subscribers to the initiative are to acknowledge that in making any contributions to the GAPPS, they are assigning copyright in these contributions to the GAPPS.  If copyright for any contributions made to the GAPPS are held by others then it is the responsibility of the attendee / subscriber to make this known to the GAPPS.
3. It should be acknowledged and understood by the attendees and subscribers of the GAPPS initiative that the working sessions are solely for the benefit of the standards and the initiative.  No other discussions regarding the business and services or pricing models of the attendees and subscribing organisations may be entered into during the working sessions. 

Objectives of the GAPPS

1. Facilitate, develop, approve, publish, promote, maintain and review global project management standards (Project management to be defined in the recitals)
2. Facilitate, develop, approve, publish, promote, maintain and review usage guidelines for project management standards 
3. NOT consult, advise, express opinion or develop products based upon standards and guidelines
4. NOT provide training, assessment or qualifications based upon standards and guidelines
